Airports

The Airport Programs and Divestiture directorate is responible for carrying out landlord functions for airports transferred to locally-based airport authorities. It oversees the administration of the Airport Capital Assistance Program and provides support to the Regions for the management of remote and non-transferred airports and for the maintenance of transfer agreements. It is also responsible for monitoring the ongoing performance of the Canadian airport industry. Finally, it has the responsibility for negotiating the transfer of the remaining airports.
