Vessel Registration and Licensing

 All commercial vessels must be registered or licensed. Registration and licensing are not the same. You must register your vessel if it is more than 15 gross tons (or 12 metres long if it has not been measured for tonnage), or if you need to mortgage the vessel, otherwise the choice is yours.
