As a result of a government "Policy on Service Standards for External Fees" and the "User Fee Act (UFA)", Marine Safety is developing service standards in relation to the fees charged. 

We recognize the importance of service quality and consultation is critical in the development of our Service Standards. 

These standards will be posted for consultation in January 2006.
