What we do?

The Aerodrome Safety Division is responsible for enforcing airport standards as set out in the Canadian Aviation Regulations.

Aerodrome Safety certifies, examines and approves airport operating manuals. The team determines signage and marking requirements, assesses compliance with standards and zoning, and directs the aircraft noise complaint program in the Region.

Service Centres

The Aerodrome Safety group administers the following programs:

- Airport certification
- Airport registration
- Obstacle identification standards
- Noise management
- Wildlife preservation

The Aerodrome Safety staff can be found at the Transport Canada Center in Dorval.
