Although it is owned by Transport Canada, Alma
Airport is operated by the City of Alma Corporation. It was designated as a regional-local
airport for the Lake St Jean region under the National Airports Policy. Alma Airport is
served by one scheduled air carrier transporting some 5,000 passengers
annually. The
following aviation-related activities are carried out there: business aviation, charter
flights and pilot training.
