The Aircraft Services group's mission is to provide a safe,
efficient and reliable aircraft service, that fulfils the client's needs. The branch's main responsibilities are:
- to maintain a fleet of 5 fixed and 12 rotary wing Federal
Government aircraft from 7 bases;
- to ensure pilot proficiency training for Transport Canada
Civil Aviation inspectors and Nav Can flight operations crew;
- to provide coordination and provision of Regional fixed and
rotary wing aircraft for air transportation services for Transport Canada, Transportation
Safety Board, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (Canadian Coast Guard) and Nav
Canada; and
- to coordinate air transportation services for other federal
government departments on a cost recovery basis.
