May 11-12, 2005 The intent of this two-day information session was to provide details on the implementation of the safety management systems (SMS) regulations that came in-force on June 15, 2005. Target AudienceThe implementation date for various Parts of the Canadian Aviation Regulations vary based on the progress of the Notice of Proposed Amendments (NPA) through the regulatory system. The target audience of this session was air operators that operate aircraft under Subpart 705 of the CARs and aircraft maintenance organizations that perform maintenance on aircraft eligible to be operated under subpart 705 of the CARs.
