Transport Canada > Transport Dangerous Goods (TDG) > Transport Dangerous Goods (TDG) - Permits of Equivalent Level of Safety

The permits are available as bilingual documents for downloading in Word format. The file name for the permits consists of a series of numbers. For example, for the permit Word file 5217-092, the first four numbers that are shown, 5217, represent the permit number and the optional last three numbers, 092, are the expiry date (September 2002).

You can search a valid permit by providing search criteria for any of the following fields:

Permit number: e.g. 5217

Permit holder: e.g. Stanchem

Keyword: e.g. cylinders

Once you have selected at least one criterion, results that match your defined search will be provided.

Search for:

Quick tips:
  • Two or more consecutive words are treated as a phrase, not independent words. A search for "road safety" returns files containing the phrase "road safety." Files with "road" and "safety" not adjacent are not returned.
  • Use AND, OR and NEAR to search for more than one word or phrase in a file. Example: trucks AND safety; dangerous goods NEAR container.
  • Choose a narrower Search Scope if your search returns too many hits.
