Departmental Audit and Evaluation Plan

Every year, a Departmental Audit and Evaluation Plan (HTML) - (MS Word) is developed outlining the projects planned and approved by the Departmental Audit and Evaluation Committee (DAEC) for conduct in the fiscal year, as well as possible projects for future years.

The Plan is developed based on a planning process that is consultative and risk-based. The planning process describes the review universe and then assesses and assigns priority to projects on the basis of risk. In addition, this process takes into account the possible audits and evaluations identified in the previous year's plan, the mandatory audits and evaluations under Treasury Board guidelines, required follow-ups, as well as the requests made during the year by management.
