NPRI Reporting SoftwareIMPORTANT! Please read prior to installation! The 2002 version of the NPRI software distributes several Microsoft components that may impact other applications on your system. The components being distributed are the Microsoft Windows Installer, the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.6, and the Microsoft Jet engine version 3.51. Environment Canada has tested these components extensively on several operating systems. Users of Microsoft Access and certain multi-user configurations of Windows may encounter two minor problems that are described in the Installation FAQ. It is important to note that these problems are not with the NPRI software, but with the underlying Microsoft components being used by the software. If you fall into one of these groups or have any other concerns about installing the NPRI software, please have your Information Technology staff contact the NPRI Help Desk (at 1-877-877-8375 or by e-mail at nprihelpdesk@ec.gc.ca) for a technical description of the compatibility issues and solutions prior to installation. The Web site will be updated as necessary should any new issues be discovered.
