Transport Canada > Emergencies - Transport Canada

Transport Canada plays a key role in responding to emergencies and crises when they occur. We also help prevent emergencies through our emergency preparedness activities and by improving the security of the transportation system. In the event of an incident involving dangerous goods, CANUTEC, the Canadian Transport Emergency Centre operated by TC can assist emergency response personnel.  General information about transport of dangerous goods is also available from the centre.
