Problem:

When using the infant carrier as a carrier outside of the vehicle, the handle may move out of the locked position allowing an unrestrained infant to fall out of the carrier.

  
Background & Company Action:

Evenflo has received a total of 275 reports from consumers in Canada and the United States through their consumer help line. Transport Canada has received no complaints. Evenflo is offering, free of charge, a fix kit consisting of instructions and two moulded parts that fit on both sides of the carrier and provide additional support for the handle.

Safety Risk: There is no safety risk when the carrier is used in a vehicle. When carrying the carrier outside of a vehicle, ensure that the harness system is snugly adjusted. Until a fix kit is received, it is not recommended that the carrying handle be used.
