401.88 The holder of an flight instructor rating - ultra-light aeroplane may
(a) provide dual flight instruction in an ultra-light aeroplane, if the holder has acquired not less than 10 hours of flight time as pilot of an ultra-light aeroplane with the same control configuration;
(b) authorize the holder of a student pilot permit - ultra-light aeroplane to conduct a solo flight in an ultra-light aeroplane; and
(c) certify that an applicant has demonstrated the ability to meet the level of competency specified in the personnel licensing standards for
(i) the issuance of a pilot permit - ultra-light aeroplane, or
(ii) the endorsement of a pilot permit - ultra-light aeroplane with a flight instructor rating - ultra-light aeroplane.
