Business Opportunities

The Purchasing and Stores Section is responsible for acquiring the materials, equipment and services required by all City departments, for disposing of surplus materials and equipment, and for controlling and maintaining adequate inventory levels.

We welcome your inquiries from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday to Friday.

General Information

Tenders and Requests For Proposal are issued by:

• Purchasing Services for a wide variety of goods and services.
• Engineering Services for public works and services.
• Purchasing Services' bidding opportunities can be accessed on this site and downloaded at your convenience. Formal bids are issued for most acquisitions having an expected value over $25,000.

Formal bid opportunities are advertised in the Daily Courier newspaper in the Legal Classifieds section and on the Public Notice Board located in City Hall. Purchasing Services also advertises some bidding opportunities on the British Columbia Government's web site BC Bid.

Immediately following the closing time, tenders are opened in public and proposals are registered in public. Interested parties are welcome to attend the openings.
