Population / Demographic Statistics

Kelowna’s population is now estimated to be 105,000 (the 2001 census estimated 96,235 residents).

Population and demographic statistics are vital in planning for the future; they help identify the makeup of a community and assist in making predictions for the community’s future needs. The principle source of information is Statistics Canada, which performs a national Census every five years. Another source of information is BC Stats, which estimates the population of communities in the province between each Census.
