Development Permit Waiver

A Development Permit Waiver process has been implemented for lands within a Natural Environment/Hazardous Condition Development Permit area. The waiver recognizes that although the entire legal parcel may be designated as a Development Permit area, there may only be a small portion of the property that contains a Natural Environment feature or a Hazardous Condition.

In response to a development inquiry the Development Permit Waiver application will result in either:

• the waiver of requirements for a Development Permit application
• the imposition of conditions for the proposed development in order to avoid a Development Permit application
• denial of the waiver and provision of a list of conditions that the required Development Permit application must address.

The waiver process is free of charge and the average processing time is one week.
