Development Variance Permit

Development Variance Permits are required when a proposed development does not meet a requirement of the regulating bylaw. Most Development Variance Permits address matters found in the Zoning Bylaw but they can also be used to vary requirements of bylaws such as the Sign Bylaw or the Development Services Bylaw. Development Variance Permits cannot be used to vary issues of use or density as prescribed by the zoning bylaw.
