Timing
Once Council has given the application initial consideration it can take between 4 to 6 weeks to schedule a Public Hearing. In many cases final consideration of a rezoning application will be deferred until an Official Community Plan amendment, a Development Permit, a Development Variance Permit or a subdivision application is ready to be considered concurrently with final adoption of the rezoning bylaw. In most cases other development approval applications can be processed concurrently with a rezoning application.
