Ogogrow

Ogogrow pumpkinOgogrow is a nutrient rich soil amendment and top dressing produced by composting a mixture of wood chips and biosolids.

Safe, effective and environmentally friendly, it’s ideal for use in landscaping, orchards, vegetable gardens and potting soil.

The Ogogrow program has been very successful since its inception in 1995 with thousands of satisfied customers.

In 2003 Ogogrow earned national stature when Kelowna won the Composting Council of Canada’s 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Growing Contest. The 407 pound beauty grown at the Glenmore Landfill outweighed the second place finisher by 61 pounds!

Four individual pumpkin patches were prepared with the same pumpkin seeds but using different blends of soil, Glenmore Grow, Ogogrow and a mixture of Glenmore Grow and Ogogrow. The winning pumpkin was grown in the patch with Ogogrow. Chemical fertilizers, supplements and force feeding were not permitted. Twenty pumpkins from across Canada were entered in the competition that’s designed to build awareness of the importance of compost in improving soil.
