Residential Garbage Collection Glenmore Landfill

The City of Kelowna provides weekly garbage collection through its contractor. There is a two-bag/container limit per week.

Extra bags/containers will be collected if they’re marked with Tag-a-Bag stickers that are available for $1.50 per standard bag. Stickers can be purchased at various locations throughout the City including City Hall. (Please note: no more than two tagged bags or containers will be collected per week.)

Yard waste is collected four times yearly.

Unlimited amounts of residential yard waste (grass, leaves, pine needles and cones, small prunings up to 1 cm. in diameter) will be picked up during these weeks when in clear plastic bags, or in bundles no longer than 1 metre or weighing more than 25 kg.

Residents can drop off yard waste and prunings up to 20 cm. in diameter at the Glenmore Landfill any time of the year free of charge.
