Property Taxes

Property tax billings are mailed to City of Kelowna taxpayers during the latter half of May. Tax payments and Provincial Home Owner Grant Applications (where applicable) are due by the first working day after the Canada Day holiday.

Taxes outstanding after this date in early July will be subject to an initial 5% late payment penalty. Taxes that remain outstanding after the Civic Holiday in early August will be subject to an additional 5% late payment penalty.

Please confirm the actual penalty dates each year, you’ll find them clearly printed on the taxation notices. These dates are vitally important since taxes that remain outstanding after these dates (including any unclaimed Provincial Home Owner Grant amount) are subject to penalty.
