Abbott Street Recreational Corridor

As part of the 2005 construction program the City of Kelowna will be extending the Abbott Street Recreational Corridor from Royal Avenue to just south of Strathcona Avenue (a distance of 130 metres). Work on this section is scheduled to begin in September.

The City is also working on preliminary design plans to extend the Recreational Corridor from Strathcona Avenue south to Gyro Beach Park (a distance of 2.3 kilometres). No timetable has been set for this work.

An Open House was held on Tuesday June 14th to explain the projects.
