Selection Process

The Urban Transportation Showcase Program held a two-stage national competition to select showcases for funding. In Stage 1, Transport Canada received 48 expressions of interest from across the country. In Stage 2, 15 finalists were given $30,000 and invited to develop detailed proposals. 

A Selection Committee evaluated the expressions of interest and detailed proposals using a comprehensive set of evaluation criteria, then recommended winning showcases to the Minister who made the final selection decision.
