Mapping the Many Faces of Canada
Are you travelling in Canada this summer or staying home to enjoy the great outdoors? Interested in finding out more about where you are or where you are going? Well check out some of these great online maps to find out more about Canada's landscape, environment and people.
The Atlas of Canada Online has tonnes of information on every part of Canada. Start with a place then delve in to find out about the geography, environment, people and culture, economy and history.
The Aboriginal Mapping Network displays a variety of maps including historical treaty areas, historical types of housing across North America and where you can find First Nations communities today.
The Canadian Atlas Online by Canadian Geographic brings you detailed maps, games, quizzes and lesson plans.
Google Maps will show you the street you live on, where the nearest pizza place is and how to get there. Then you can switch to satellite and see how your home town, city, mountain, plain or seafront looks from space.
