Watch out!!! Pollution could be anywhere and you wouldn't even know it. Even if you can't see it, it could still be there. Most of the electricity that we use in our homes is produced through polluting processes like fossil fuel combustion. Wind and solar energy are much better, less polluting alternatives.
Fuels emit toxic substances when they are used in cars, trucks and lawn mowers. We need to invent better, cleaner engines, so that we can choose the least polluting way to get the job done.
Visit the Canadian Pollution Prevention Information Clearinghouse Youth Web site for great ideas to help you prevent pollution.
|
Check out the CPPIC games page. Try your hand at the Decoder, Word Search and the Word Scramble. Or take the P2 Challenge Quiz. But you had better do your homework first and learn all about pollution prevention on the Youth Web site.
Do you have a story or picture about pollution prevention? You can send in your stories and artwork to the folks at CPPIC and then go back and check often to see if it has been posted on their Web site.
