Marc Garneau Addresses the President's Commission on Moon, Mars and Beyond

On May 4, 2004, Marc Garneau, President of the Canadian Space Agency addressed the fifth and final public hearing of the Presidential Commission on Moon, Mars and Beyond, and spoke about Canada's partnership in the International Space Station.

Marc Garneau on international cooperation:

Question: What is the best way to achieve international cooperation?

Answer: " ...Make it happen, roughly on schedule, definitely within costs, and achieve what we say we are going to achieve."

Marc Garneau on Moon, Mars and Beyond:

Question: What if the U.S. decides not to go to the Moon, to Mars or beyond?

Answer: "It's going to happen one way or the other. It's just a question of how long it takes..."
