Chinese New Year

Bring in the new year at the Exploration Place! The year of the dog celebration is the gala fundraiser of the year and will have incredible food from the Coast Inn of the North, fireworks, silent auction items, sports competitions, live music and lots of fun to raise money for children's programming. Tickets are $50 in advance.

Bring your family down for the outside public celebration as well! Hot chocolate, dog demonstrations, Year of the Dog memorabilia and cool kids activities. And don't forget the fireworks at 8:30!

Take a voyage of discovery inside the STARLAB planetarium!

Join special guest Kevin Aschenmeier, of the Okanagan Science Center, as he combines science, literature, history and mythology in an entertaining and educational manner.

Skies Above

Take a tour of the night sky! Your tour will start with a discussion of what is in the sky tonight. You will then examine constellations and discuss their significance to indigenous peoples.

Deep Space

Come discover our changing understanding of the universe! Find out what we know about the life and death of stars, our solar system, etc. & how we are exploring this extreme environment.

Ted Williams and Live Birds of Prey

We are thrilled to welcome back Ted Williams this year in April. If you have missed Ted in the past, he is from the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation society in Delta. His presentation includes live birds of prey and looks at their appearance, behaviour, diet, adaptation, ecology and avoidable human dangers to birds and other wildlife. His presentation is enthralling and impactful. Tickets go fast for both school programs and the public programs.
