Welcome to the website of The Canadian Consulate in San Diego. The Consulate opened its doors on December 3, 2003, as part of the Canadian Government's continuing effort to increase Canada's presence in the United States, and to expand bilateral trade and economic relations. The Canadian Consulate in San Diego is a satellite of the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles, California. Our role is to advocate Canadian commercial, economic, and political interests and to develop innovative strategies for the identification and implementation of business opportunities in high technology sectors, in the San Diego area. The Canadian Consulate in San Diego is currently headed by Consul and Trade Commissioner Sunil Sharma. A list of our staff and responsibilities can be found here.
