The Remittance Advice is a form that provides the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy with the necessary information needed to ensure that payments are processed accurately, and are posted to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner. As such, a Remittance Advice must accompany every payment. Please note, however, that no other documents are necessary (this includes Statements of Receipts & Disbursements–SRDs, which are to be sent to Division Offices only). Please refrain from stapling cheques to the Remittance Advice, as this damages the cheques. There are 4 sections to the Remittance Advice: the first three being imperative to all payment submissions, while the fourth section is to be completed only when submitting a payment as an Unclaimed Dividend. These 4 sections include:
