Prime Minister announces changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service

NEWS RELEASE

Ottawa, Ontario

Prime Minister Stephen Harper was pleased to announce today the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service. The changes reflect the smaller, more streamlined Cabinet structure of the new government:

Nicole Jauvin, currently Deputy Minister of Social Development, becomes Associate Clerk of the Privy Council for Senior Personnel.

Alan Nymark, currently Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, becomes Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.

Maryantonett Flumian, currently Deputy Minister of Service Canada, becomes Deputy Head of Service Canada and Associate Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.

Munir Sheikh, currently Deputy Minister of Labour and Housing and Associate Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, becomes Deputy Minister of Labour and Associate Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.

Louis Ranger, currently Deputy Minister of Transport, becomes Deputy Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities.

André Juneau, currently Deputy Head of Infrastructure Canada, becomes Deputy Head of Infrastructure and Communities.

Guy McKenzie, currently Associate Deputy Head of Infrastructure Canada, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities with particular responsibility for Crown corporations.
