The Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) program underscores government recognition that post secondary education is a national priority, and that learning through full and part-time study, and in a variety of settings, such as, universities, community colleges, vocational and technical institutes, and CEGEPs is vital in providing all Canadian children with an equal opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges of an evolving workforce and a changing economy.

Our goal is to increase Canadians' awareness of the importance of contributing to an RESP for their children's education, and to encourage greater participation of all Canadians to the program.

RESP Promoters

Promoter Training

We are pleased to announce the availability of a training program to facilitate the delivery of the Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) Program.

The CESG Training Program has been developed in consultation with staff of the Registered Plans Division at the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA). It will contain two (2) modules that may be presented in either a self-directed or train the trainer format.

The promoter training material is being put on the web site to increase awareness of the availability of CESG training material and to facilitate its distribution.

We are making popular technical documents related to CESG System Version 3.0.1 as well as additional bulletins and related information available for download immediately. Although these documents were distributed to RESP Promoters in the past, we continue to receive requests for additional copies. We hope they will be useful to you.
