Pilot wait times project
An innovative pilot project at Children’s Hospital that could lead to shorter wait times for diagnostic tests such as MRI and CT scans has been announced. The $1-million project involves the use of electronic order entry software that will assist physicians making referrals to choose the most appropriate diagnostic imaging test for each patient.

Pain clinic services expanded
Wait times for pain management will be reduced through a $5.6-million investment over four years to expand pain treatment services. To reduce the wait for services, a satellite pain clinic will be developed at the Pan Am Clinic to assess and treat less complex cases.
