Welcome to EFILE On-Line and EFILE On-Line Plus, automated services that allow you to electronically deliver information about your client's current year returns to us via the Internet. You no longer have to print paper versions of computer-prepared tax returns, mail them to us, and then wait to find out whether we have received them.

Please review the different features available for either EFILE On-Line or EFILE On-Line Plus. Based on these differences, you can determine if you want to participate in one or both.

EFILE On-Line

• Only one return can be submitted per session.
• Generates a real time acknowledgement, which means a confirmation number is provided almost instantly.
• Must use EFILE On-Line certified software.
• Qualified users of EFILE On-Line can also use EFILE On-Line Plus to file returns providing they have the proper software for each service.
• Users may also access EFILE On-Line Plus in order to submit on-line System for Electronic Notification of Debt (SEND) requests. No software is required to use SEND.

EFILE On-Line Plus

• Batch filing of returns is supported, one batch can contain from 1 to 60 returns.
• Supports access to the System for Electronic Notification of Debt (SEND). Qualified users of EFILE On-Line Plus can submit an on-line request form and receive, almost instantly, selected information about their client's account.
• Acknowledgement file is created within a few hours and is made available to you "on demand".
• Must use EFILE On-Line Plus certified software.
• Qualified users of EFILE On-Line Plus can also use EFILE On-Line to file returns providing they have the proper software for each service.

The validation process used to either accept or reject the return is based on the same logic for both.

To ensure secure transmissions, encryption of data is mandatory. It is accomplished through the use of a browser enabled 128-bit SSL encryption process, which is available for download at no charge.
