The RCMP
National Operations Centre, or N.O.C., provides a centralized facility
for fast and effective reporting of major incidents across Canada. The
state of the art crisis management facility provides the entire force
with direct access to RCMP Headquarters and is the focal point for all
internal communication and national broadcasts.
N.O.C. is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to receive Force messages,
and to monitor media, news broadcasts and and wire services. The whereabouts
of senior executive and VIPs are tracked. Multimedia briefings are prepared
for morning presentation to senior executives by NOC staff.
The
futuristic design and capabilities of the National Operations Centre has
allowed the Force to provide improved service to the Canadian public.
