RSS-182 - Supplement 1993-1 June 12, 1993
Preface
This fourth issue of RSS-182 replaces Issue 3, dated February 1999. This new version will be in force as of
the publication date of Notice DGSE-007-03, in the
Canada Gazette, Part I. Upon publication, the
public has 90 days to make comments. These comments will be taken into account in the preparation of the next
version of the document.
Changes:
The following are the main changes:
- The licensing requirements have been modified (Section 2.1).
- Until January 1, 2006, as an alternative to emission mask B, equipment which
complies with the European ETSI EN 301 025 standard or IEC 62238 standard
will be accepted (Section 6.3.2).
- The address of the Certification Bureau has been amended (Section 2.4).
- Equipment designator S is added for radiotelephony equipment which is capable
of basic distress alerting on CH 70. Equipment designators A and B are added
for the classification of Automatic Identification System transponders (Sections
3.5 and 3.8).
