The City of Hamilton Status of Women Committee and YWCA present the Women of Distinction Awards – recognizing achievements for 2005. Nominations are being accepted until Feb.17. Celebrating 30 years of honouring women, these awards will recognize award recipients and nominees for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the community
Beginning on Thursday January 12, 2006, Mayor Di Ianni is inviting Hamiltonians to come and meet with him at informal bi-monthly meetings that will be held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month from 8 - 9 a.m. at Hamilton City Hall. Meetings will also be scheduled in Ancaster, Dundas, Glanbrook and Stoney Creek as demand dictates.
To help our passengers vote in the current federal election, ATS and DARTS are offering special service to and from polling stations on advance voting days and on Election Day, from 10:00 to 2:00, and after 6:00 p.m.When you go to vote, the vehicle will either wait for you at the polling station (for up to 15 minutes), or will return within a short period of time.When you call ATS to book your trip, please mention that you are going to vote.
