The purpose of the Linguistic Needs Designator Tool is to provide to the manager of an office an indication of the minimum number of employees required to provide services in the official language chosen by clients.
The suggested minimum levels are proposals only; the actual numbers should be decided upon following discussion between the manager of the office in question and the institutional Official Languages Advisor.
