The Treasury Board Secretariat Policy and Reporting Review Project was
launched by the Secretary of the Treasury Board in August 2002. The
Directions for Treasury Board Policy report outlines the main principles and
strategies of the Policy Review Project. Specifically, the project's objectives
are to enable the Secretariat to:
- reduce the number and enhance the relevance of policies and reports;
- provide coherent direction on things that matter;
- relate policies and reporting to priorities and results;
- clarify roles, responsibilities and accountabilities; and
- improve accessibility and target to appropriate audiences.
