PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE 

The award is open to individuals or teams employed at the time of their nomination in or by an organization named in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act, as well as the Canadian Forces. Partners from other governments or sectors, who are members of eligible teams mainly composed of public service employees, may be granted an Award.

1)   The award is given in seven categories that represent the priorities of the Public Service of Canada.  For a detailed explanation of the criteria for each category, please consult the “Understanding the Selection Criteria” section in the Guidelines under the Public Service Award of Excellence.

3)  Please submit a minimum of three letters of endorsement (maximum of five) describing the nominee(s)’s achievement(s) in the selected category to support the nomination.  The endorsement letters may come from the following groups: peers, supervisors, clients, partners and supervised staff. Please consult the “Securing Letters of Endorsement” section in the Guidelines under the Public Service Award of Excellence.
