Following the restructuring of the Government of Canada
announced last December 12th 2003, the Employment Equity Branch is now part of
the new Public Service Human Resources Management Agency of
Canada (Agency). The President is Mme Michelle Chartrand and the Executive
Vice-President is Mme Monique Boudrias.
Please note that the responsibility for the implementation of
Employment Equity in the federal Public Service now comes under the Agency and
its minister, the Honourable John Baird.
As part of the new Agency, the Employment Equity Branch will continue to work closely with you in implementing Employment Equity and establishing a truly representative and inclusive Public Service of Canada.
This site provides information about programs and services that contribute to
the building of a representative and inclusive Federal Public Service.
The Employment Equity Division strives to facilitate the implementation of
Employment Equity in departments and agencies for which Treasury Board is the
employer by providing policy advice and guidance, as well as monitoring and
reporting on progress made.
