SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST ASIA CRISIS:
EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTRE


Foreign Affairs Canada urges Canadians to contact the Emergency Operations Centre in order to gather as much information as possible on Canadians currently in the areas affected by the tsunamis.


The Emergency Operations Centre helps Canadians trying to reach relatives or friends in the affected areas. Agents of the Emergency Operations Centre can be reached in Ottawa at (613) 944-2471, or toll-free from elsewhere in Canada at 1 800 606-5499. Canadians in the affected areas who wish to report on their safety should immediately contact the nearest consular office.


We also invite people to visit Foreign Affairs’ Consular Affairs Web site at http://www.voyage.gc.ca.
