BILL CLARKE APPOINTED TO CANADIAN COMMERCIAL CORPORATION BOARD OF
DIRECTORS
The Minister for International Trade, Pierre S. Pettigrew, today announced the appointment of Bill Clarke to the
Board of Directors of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC).
Mr. Clarke is currently the Assistant Deputy Minister of International Business, and Chief Trade Commissioner
with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT). During his 33-year career with DFAIT,
Mr. Clarke has also served as Ambassador to Sweden and the Baltic Republics, Ambassador to Brazil, and
Director General of the U.S. Trade Division, among other positions.
The Canadian Commercial Corporation is a crown corporation that reports to Parliament through the Minister
for International Trade. CCC supports the export efforts of Canadian companies by providing contracting
expertise and performance guarantees to foreign buyers. It is a valued member of Team Canada Inc.
