MARCHI ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF
MINISTER FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE AWARD
FOR TRADE SERVICE
International Trade Minister Sergio Marchi today announced that Donald McLennan, Director, Policy and
Strategic Planning Division is the 1997 winner of the International Trade Award for Trade Service. He also
announced several citation awards for trade service.
"Mr. McLennan has demonstrated exceptional work in the area of international business development,"
said Mr. Marchi. "His vision and contribution to our trade and investment agenda sets a high standard for
future recipients of this award. I congratulate Mr. McLennan on his outstanding achievements."
Citations were awarded to Stewart Beck, the Atlantic Trade Management Committee, Michael Martin and
Mackenzie Clugston, and John Lambert for their outstanding initiative in trade development.
"I congratulate all of the recipients on the leadership role they have assumed," said Mr. Marchi. "Their
hard work and determination is helping to open doors in foreign markets for many Canadian companies.
These individuals have demonstrated the success that can be achieved when government and the private
sector work as Team Canada partners."
Private sector representatives have sponsored the recipients of this year's winners.
