PETTIGREW - VISIT TO DAVOS

Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew will travel to Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, January 23, 2003, to participate in the World Economic Forum. On Friday, January 24, Minister Pettigrew, along with Canadian Industry Minister Allan Rock will attend a breakfast hosted by the Canada-India Business Council. Afterwards, Ministers Pettigrew and Rock will take part in a contact lunch entitled Prospects for Canada, hosted by the World Economic Forum. During the luncheon, both Ministers will deliver addresses that will focus on the current and future economic climate in Canada. On Saturday, January 25, Ministers Pettigrew and Rock will co-host an investment luncheon.

At the World Economic Forum, Mr. Pettigrew will also lead discussions in various workshops.
