LEONARD BRODY TO SPEAK ON CANADIAN INNOVATION
Media representatives are advised that Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gaëtan Lavertu and Deputy Minister for
International Trade Leonard Edwards have invited Leonard Brody, co-author of Innovation Nation--Canadian
Leadership from Java to Jurassic Park, to speak at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, on May
28.
Mr. Brody's presentation, "Canada the Northern Tiger," outlines the scope of Canadian innovation technology, industrial
clusters and R&D capabilities. Mr. Brody debunks the myths about the lack of Canadian technology and portrays Canada as
a global leader in innovation.
This presentation is part of The Deputy Ministers Present... series, which offers departmental staff an opportunity to hear
from a wide range of outside experts on topical issues.
