PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE LEGISLATIVE CHANGES TO IMPLEMENT THE WTO AGREEMENT ON ACCESS TO MEDICINES

Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew, Foreign Affairs Minister Bill Graham, Industry Minister Allan Rock, Health Minister Anne McLellan and Minister for International Cooperation Susan Whelan will hold a joint press conference on November 6 following the introduction of legislative changes to implement the August 30 agreement on access to medicines for developing countries at the World Trade Organization.

A background briefing by senior government officials will precede the press conference.
