PAGTAKHAN - TO LEAD THE CANADIAN DELEGATION AT THE UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON THE ILLICIT TRADE IN SMALL ARMS AND LIGHT WEAPONS IN ALL ITS ASPECTS

Media representatives are advised that Dr. Rey Pagtakhan, Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific), will be in New York City on Wednesday, July 11, 2001 to lead the Canadian delegation at the United Nations Conference on the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects. Dr. Pagtakhan will deliver the Canadian statement in the General Assembly Hall, formally launch the Canadian study, Putting Children First: A Framework for International Action to Address the Impact of Small Arms on Children, and open the exhibit i Human 2000 Peace Initiative: The Gun Sculpture.
