PETTIGREW - MEETING WITH AMERICAN CONSUMERS FOR AFFORDABLE HOMES

Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew will meet with representatives of American Consumers for Affordable Homes (ACAH) on Thursday, February 28 in Ottawa. The meeting will focus on the ongoing trade dispute between Canada and the United States on softwood lumber and the group's support of Canada's position.

Following their meeting, the Minister and ACAH representatives will make a short statement and will then be available to answer questions from the media.

Participants include Annette Verschuren, President, Home Depot, Bobby Rayburn, Vice President and Treasurer, National Association of Home Builders, Susan Petniunas, Advisor, Alliance of American Consumers for Affordable Homes, and Barry Rutenberg, Vice President, National Association of Home Builders.
