Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew will announce the names of the 10
winning companies of the 2002 Canada Export Awards, on October 7. The Minister will present the awards in Vancouver
at a gala dinner held in conjunction with the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters. Earlier in the day, Minister Pettigrew
will deliver the keynote speech entitled "Economic Integration in the Americas--Barriers and Opportunities" at the annual
convention of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters.
