PETTIGREW - AFRICA SPEECH IN MONTREAL

Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew will deliver a keynote speech entitled "A Trade Mission to Africa: Exploring Untapped Potential" at a breakfast meeting jointly hosted by the Canadian Council on Africa and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, on October 21 in Montreal.

This event will provide an excellent opportunity to learn more about the upcoming Canada Trade Mission to South Africa, Nigeria and Senegal to be led by Mr. Pettigrew from November 15 to 26, 2002. Also present at the event will be the High Commissioners for South Africa and Nigeria and the Ambassador of Senegal.
